Monitoring, evaluation & research data

Field data to signed-off report, without the spreadsheet detour.

MESRI Data Hub builds your survey from a sector template, deploys it live to KoboToolbox with a QR code, syncs the submissions back, validates them, charts them, and writes the report. One workspace, in English or Khmer.

How it works

Five steps, one workspace

The same round every quarter: design, deploy, collect, check, publish. Each step hands its output straight to the next, so nothing gets re-typed and nothing gets lost between tools.

Start from a template, or build from scratch

Pick one of 27 templates across health, education, agriculture, WASH, livelihoods, governance and HR — then add, reorder or reword fields in the builder. Sections, required flags, hints, choice lists, skip-friendly ordering and weighted rating questions are all yours to change.

Deploy to KoboToolbox in one click

The Hub converts your form to XLSForm, creates the asset on KoboToolbox, deploys it, and turns on open submissions so field staff need no Kobo account. You get the survey link and a printable QR code back immediately — and the link stays stable when you re-deploy, so QR codes already in the field keep working.

Collect wherever the work happens

Enumerators use KoboCollect offline and sync when they find signal. Not using Kobo for everything? Import a CSV or Excel export, key in paper forms by hand, or bring in ODK and Google Forms data. It all lands in the same table.

Offline-first CSV / Excel import Paper entry

Sync back, and let the checks run

Pull submissions into the Hub with one button. Records are matched on submission id and updated in place, so a sync refreshes Kobo data without touching anything you typed in by hand. Your validation rules mark every record valid, warning or error, with the reason attached.

valid warning error

Chart it, then publish the report

The Hub proposes the charts that fit your form — counts by province, averages by facility type, Likert breakdowns, cross-tabs, word clouds — and you keep the ones you want. Then choose an executive summary, field report, technical review or donor report layout, and export to PDF or Excel with your own logo and colour on it.

Auto-suggested charts Cross-tab PDF & Excel

The usual round trip

Four tools, three exports, one very long week

Without the Hub

  • Write the questionnaire in Word, rebuild it by hand in an XLSForm sheet
  • Upload, discover a syntax error in row 84, upload again
  • Export a CSV, clean it in Excel, lose the cleaning when new data arrives
  • Rebuild the same pivot tables and charts every quarter
  • Paste screenshots into a report template, then find one number was stale

With MESRI Data Hub

  • Design the form once, in the builder, in the language your team reads
  • One click to a live Kobo form with a QR code you can print
  • Sync refreshes Kobo records in place and leaves your manual entries alone
  • Validation rules travel with the form, so checks run on every round
  • Charts and report sections rebuild from live data — export when ready

Built for the whole round

Not just a form builder

Everything between "we need to survey this" and "the report is with the donor" lives in one place — including the parts nobody enjoys.

Data manager with real validation

Write range, required and cross-field rules once. Every record carries a valid / warning / error verdict and the reason behind it, so cleaning is a filter, not an archaeology project.

Charts that propose themselves

The Hub reads your form and suggests the analyses that fit it — counts, averages, Likert breakdowns, cross-tabs, distributions by enumerator. Keep the useful ones, drop the rest.

Reports in four shapes

Executive summary, field report, technical review, donor report. Choose the sections, and the numbers come from live data. Export to PDF or Excel with your organisation's logo and colour.

Roles that match how teams work

Admin, analyst, field collector and viewer. Field staff submit without touching the analysis; viewers read without touching anything.

Field monitor

See collection progress by enumerator and location, catch a device that stopped syncing, and spot the sites nobody has reached yet — while the round is still running.

Ask your data a question

The insights panel answers plain questions about the dataset in front of it — which province is lagging, where the flagged records cluster — and shows the chart behind the answer.

What people say

Nothing here yet — these slots stay empty until there are real quotes to put in them.

[ADD REAL TESTIMONIAL]

M&E officer or programme manager — one or two sentences on what changed in their reporting round.

[ADD REAL TESTIMONIAL]

Field team lead — something concrete about offline collection or the QR workflow.

[ADD REAL CASE STUDY]

A short before / after on one reporting cycle, with a number you can stand behind.

The demo is the real loop: choose a template, fill it in, deploy it, sync the submissions, watch the charts and read the report it writes. Your own answers change the numbers.
